Secondary Program

Program Overview
At the Montessori School of Yakima, our Secondary Program serves as a vital bridge to adulthood, transitioning students from traditional classroom settings to a "prepared environment" where real-world experience is the primary teacher. Grounded in the Montessori philosophy of purposeful and peaceful learning, our students engage in meaningful work—from managing community projects to participating in Socratic seminars—that fosters social and financial independence. By connecting academic subjects like mathematics and humanities to practical, hands-on applications, we nurture confident, socially conscious young adults who are prepared to respect and contribute to the world in which they live.
