Harvest Run & Festival

We’re excited to announce that on Friday, October 24th, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Montessori School of Yakima will host our Harvest Run & Festival — a day of fun, fitness, and community, all while raising funds to support our school!
This important fundraiser helps provide classroom supplies, curriculum resources, physical education, music, art, playground equipment, and professional development for our dedicated staff.
Materials will be sent home with your child on Friday, including pledge forms and details on how to get involved.
THE RUN
Students will either walk or jog around the playground, aiming to complete as many laps as possible within a 30-minute timeframe. Costumes are optional — each participant will seek support by requesting pledges based on the estimated number of laps they intend to complete for a tax-deductible contribution.
THE FESTIVAL
Following the run, families and friends are invited to join us for a bring-your-own lunch picnic along with:
• 🍕 Pizza by the slice
• 🍪 Bake sale goodies
• 🎲 Kids’ games and activities
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are lots of ways to get involved and make this event a success:
Talk to your students about the event and cheer them on!
Help your students engage family and friends in collecting pledges.
Donate baked goods for the sale.
Buy pizza and baked goods during the festival lunch.
Specific instructions and forms are included in the attached materials.
This is one of MSY’s most special traditions — celebrating health, creativity, and community while supporting our school’s mission. We can’t wait to see you on October 24th for a day filled with energy, laughter, and purpose!
Montessori is striving to gather $15,000, which translates to roughly $100 per student. Please assist us in achieving our goal.
