Teaching Staff

Betsy Martin (The Lower Elementary Classroom Teacher)
Betsy received her AMS Early Childhood Certificate in 1989. She holds a B.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She has been with the Montessori School of Yakima since 1995.

Mary Camden
Mary received her AMI Montessori certification in 1980. She holds a B.A. in Humanities from the College of St. Benedict. She has been with the Montessori School of Yakima since 1983.

Linda McCoy is Mary Camden's assistant.

Donna Enbody-Roderick
Donna received her Montessori credentials at Seattle Pacific University in 1984. Donna attended Whatcom County Community College and Yakima Valley Community College. She has been with the Montessori School of Yakima since 1982.

Carol Walden is Donna Enbody-Roderick's s assistant.

Sam Heinz
Sam received his AMI Certification and holds a Masters Degree in Education.

Meagan McGree
Assistant to Sam Heinz. Meagan has a Masters degree in School Counseling from CWU.

Jocelyn Blair-Lea
Jocelyn received her A.A. from Columbia Basin College, and her AMS Early Childhood Certificate from The Montessori Education in the Pacific Northwest in 2007. She has been with the Montessori School of Yakima since 2004.

Cheryl Smith is Jocelyn's assistant.

Sharon Gabbard
Sharon started as an assistant in 1993. She has worked under Betsy Martin and Gloria Weedin (now retired). Sharon has been the lead teacher for the After School Care Program since its opening in 2003.

Jordan Schilperoort
Assitant to Sharon Gabbard in ASC. Currently enrolled at CWU.

Cathrine Maddon
WA state certified with a BA in Elementary Education K-8 from Heritage University, currently assisting Betsy Martin while completing her AMS training for ages 6-12.

Toni Stroscher is the administrator for the Montessori School of Yakima. Toni received her AMS Certification and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She has 10 years of lead teaching experience.

Megan Waller
Office Assistant/Substitute. Currently enrolled at CWU, majoring in Elementary Education.
